The masterplan is located in Merchant City. The pedestrian plan is a continuation of Brunswick Street, creating a public square, the heart of the masterplan and the scene for the cultural hub.

The complex addresses two public realm corners, highlighting how their function of 'To Work' differs from the residential aspect of the block. A protruding volume 'spills out' onto the street and creates a distinguishable element, a gallery and workshops for the residential artists. A hub for visual arts is created encouraging visitors to stay and create a social scene linked to its context.

The concept of cores was used to diagrammatically differentiate spaces within the massing block. The flats are split into three cores, a central one accumulating services and storage, core of living spaces towards east and south to benefit from solar gains. The third core contains of the private zone of bedrooms and study spaces.
